Join Photographique Bishop Arts for a two day pop up photography and art exhibit featuring works that illustrate that “Back To School” feeling and the range of emotions that go along with it. This show will take place at 415 W. 8th St. Dallas TX 75208.

Featured in this exhibit will be select photographs by Richard Doherty. One print from his book “Framing Oak Cliff” and work from a series of photographs he made of schools built before 1940 in the DISD and FISD.

Going back to school stirs different emotions in everyone. Some cry on their first day of school, others will have braces for the entire duration of their middle school years and some definitely don’t want to go back! Remember your favorite music teacher? These are some of the scenes you will find in this exhibit which hopes to highlight the highs and lows of what it’s like to be human and have your future ahead of you. Which we all do.

“I asked a few photographers if they had any work that would fit this theme and most said, “probably not,” but will this work? During the process of organizing this show I discovered that truly every day we “go back to school” and this feeling never goes away if you continue to grow and explore life, which opened the theme up to more unconventional photographs and art which allowed for moments of humor and escapism to squeeze its way in to the final selections of the show.” Ginger Berry
